Last Saturday the King County Republican Party held its annual Lincoln Day Dinner at the Bellevue Hyatt. Billed as “Turning King County RED“, this year’s Lincoln Day Dinner was one of our best dinners in years, and we sold out! Special thanks to our Sponsors and Table Captains, John Carlson who was a masterful MC, and our special guest speakers Congressman Dave Reichert and Congresswoman Jaime Herrera-Beutler.

One of the centerpieces of the Lincoln Day Dinner were the two major awards for outstanding grassroots activism in the King County Republican Party:

The Veda Jellen Grassroots Activist of the Year award was presented to Maureen Bernardy. This award honors excellence in grassroots politics. Maureen embodies the spirit of grassroots activism in the King County GOP and within her 30th Legislative District Republican Organization.

The MoveRed.org Young Republican Activist of the Year was presented to University of Washington Senior, Kyle Curtis. This award recognizes a young Republican who represents the future of the Republican Party through strong qualities of leadership among his/her peers and dedication to Republican principles.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our celebration of Republicans in King County…and in Turning King County RED!

To Victory,

Lori Sotelo, Chairman
