                In the November election, voters approved an amendment to the county charter changing the Elections Director from an appointed position to a nonpartisan elected office. A special election on February 3 will decide the winner, with as many as 11 candidates expected to file. The Elections Director will make $146,040, oversee a budget of over $19 million, and administer up to 6 elections a year. What qualifications are needed to do the job well?
